Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Welcome to the Yavapai County Geographic Information Systems (YAVGIS) Home page, a division of the Management Information Systems (MIS). Our mission is to implement an integrated and cooperative GIS program among the local governments and agencies within Yavapai County.

Current Projects:

  • County-wide Interactive Mapping Application - full revision and change web address for all GIS applications to match Yavapai County’s new domain name of Yavapai.us - changing in March 2013– Implementation Phase
  • Assessor’s Office migrate ArcMap parcel editing to Parcel Fabric Tools – Analysis Phase
  • Assessor’s Office develop revised application and integrate internal custom parcel number creation application between GIS and Assessor database (WPF)
  • County-wide in-house ArcMap training for County staff– Ongoing
  • County-wide Interactive Mapping Application Full Revision – Development Phase
  • County-wide 911 data support – Ongoing
  • Flood Control Department support to link bench mark document to GIS data – In production
  • Public Works development of GIS tools (Phase II of County-wide road inventory project) – Implementation Phase
  • Recorder’s Office support in digitized map georeferencing – Ongoing
  • Voter Registration Polling Location external application – Development Phase
  • State Arizona Geographic Information Council support boards and committees – Ongoing
  • Yavapai County Survey Monument editor internal application (ArcMap & Web) – Development Phase
  • Yavapai County Survey Monument Information external application – Development Phase
  • Assessor’s Office support with CAMA and Department of Revenue replacement software using Colorado CustomWare – Complete
  • County-wide Outdoor Recreation Website – Completed February 2012
  • County-wide GIS data created 2011 building footprints – Completed October 2011
  • Development Services and Public Works internal custom GIS web application (ArcGIS Server using Silverlight) – Complete
  • Elections Office support updating records with new redistricting changes – Completed
  • Public Works mapping and analyzing road assets using dynamic segmentation / linear referenced features– Complete
  • Support the Redistricting Committee with Census information and mapping tools – Complete
