Addressing Division

The Addressing Unit is charged with the responsibility of assigning new physical addresses, changing physical addresses, assigning new street names, and renaming old street names with conflicting or duplicate names to all lands within the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County. The Addressing Unit works in accordance with the Street Naming & Addressing Section of the Yavapai County Planning and Zoning Ordinance. The actions of the Addressing Unit are intended to provide for a more efficient emergency service and provide for the safety of the residents of Yavapai County.

 Addresses

The Addressing Unit assigns and changes addresses as necessary for existing structures, new construction, and utilities based on driveway location.

 New Street Names

The Addressing Unit processes street naming applications, per the Street Naming Policy.

 Subdivisions & Record of Surveys

The Addressing Unit reviews and approves street names for use within developments, and assigns addresses to all lots.

 Street Name Changes

The Addressing Unit changes existing street names that are duplicated within an emergency district.

 Street Maintenance & Signage

The Addressing Unit provides information for adequate installation of private street signs, as adopted in the Planning and Zoning Ordinance.
