Comprehensive Plan Update Process
Oct 18, 2012 — Yavapai County has completed the process of updating our Comprehensive Plan. When the County adopted the plan in 2003, it was called the “General Plan.” As part of the update to the General Plan, the name of the plan is being changed to the “Comprehensive Plan” to be consistent with Arizona Revised Statutes 11-806. Hours of Operation

Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, closed for holidays (including the day after Thanksgiving Day).

Effective June 3, 2013 Development Services Offices will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Inspections will be performed Monday through Friday.

The Development Services Department was established to centralize all development related services into a single department. All of the services provided are designed to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, through addressing, building permit review, inspection, development, planning, enforcement of the Planning and Zoning Ordinance, and environmental regulations for wastewater disposal. Staff also maintains the County’s General Plan, and provides services to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Unincorporated Communities of Yavapai County Government.
