Description:

Yavapai County purchased 20 acres of property adjacent to the new Fairgrounds in Prescott Valley. Capital Improvements, Facilities, and the Sheriff’s office worked together to develop a law enforcement driver training track, a remodeled training room, a vehicle impound yard, and a new 9,000 square foot Sheriff’s Evidence Building. This new building allows for the consolidation of evidence that is currently being held in Camp Verde and Prescott. The total amount for construction for all of these projects was $1,700,000.

The first image is a drawing that shows where projects are on the site.

The driver track aerial photo was taken just after the track was built and before the evidence building was constructed. You can see the small training building to the rear of the track. The 4 acre impound yard is the lighter fill material in the center of the property. The evidence building is now located on the lower end of the impound yard.
